Where to Stay in Ubud, Bali: Nyoman Villa

When we were choosing where to stay in Ubud, Bali there were so many options. It was a tad overwhelming to say the least! We spent hours looking through pictures of villa after villa to find the perfect fit for us…and I was so nervous that it would be awful when we actually showed up.

We finally settled on Villa Nyoman Bisma, and I’m so glad we did. As far as where to stay in Ubud, Bali, this was a serious dream. With it’s own private pool looking into a jungle garden, a poolside cabana, and a large open floorplan with tons of space, it was more than perfect.

The master bedroom looked out into the pool area, and had a large king sized bed with a daybed. The attached bathroom had a jungle feel to it, and when it rained you could hear the pitter patter of the rain on the bathroom ceiling. I loved it!

There was a second bedroom and bathroom, which was perfect for our group of four. The kitchen had a refrigerator, microwave, and two gas burners. There was unlimited coffee, tea, and drinking water, which was so nice to have. The sitting area included a TV with DVD player and a collection of DVDs to watch, and there were books also available. There was also a second sitting area outside that we absolutely loved, and we found bug spray and sun tan lotion inside to use as well.

There was nothing over the top fancy about the villa, but it was so comfortable and homey that we enjoyed every minute. Not to mention, it was close to town! We easily walked everywhere in town, and there were restaurants and shops less than five minutes from our front door. Even though it was close to town, it was on a quiet street with next to no noise. You were away from the hustle and crowds of downtown, but still close enough to get there when needed.

Made, the owner of the villa, was so accommodating and friendly. We showed up three hours before check in and he was more than happy to let us in early. He showed us around, gave us the keys and wi-fi password, and then left us to enjoy. There was a maid that came every day, and she was able to do laundry for a small fee.

I would highly recommend Nyoman Villa Bisma for anyone wanting to be close to the action, but still secluded and private. We had such an amazing start in Bali by staying here, and it truly was the perfect way to kick off our trip. If you’re looking for where to stay in Ubud, Bali, Villa Nyoman is perfect for you.
